- Ummeed capacity building programme conducted by Ms. Salony Priya Director of UMMEED along with her team for project leaders at Sevakendra Calcutta. Two days intensive training based on :
  Professional skills as Personal competence.
  Self awareness.
  Enhanced Emotional Intelligence.
  Understanding spectrum of human behaviour.
  Cognitive behaviour therapy basics.
  Thanks to vision and insight of Dr. Franklin Menezes it’s a customized training for People leading grassroots social Projects.

  It was wonderful to be a part of this training. It was eye opening session and I was able to understand simple and basic concept that we often fail to understand. - On 12th June, 2019 Ms. Salony Priya Founder Director of Ummeed Counseling and Consulting Services conducted an interective session with Educators of 10 DAV schools at DAV model School Durgapur of WB zone for annual up-gradation learning workshop for three days. It was a privilege to share cognitive and emotional social development stages to sensitize pre-primary level educators on basic ethos of ECE paradigm.

- On 8th April, 2019, Ms. Salony Priya, founder Director of Ummeed conducted session at Frank Anthony Public School, Kolkata addressing nursery parent on parenting preschoolers using love, nurture and most importantly balance in their parenting styles, which will enable their young one to grow up as confident children with feeling of assurance, age appropriate social and emotional skills and positive self image.

Empowering educators with skills of counselling to handle adolescent issues effectively has been a prime focus of Ummeed for last five years. With great pride we share certification of Frank Anthony educators after successful training for last 11 months with case study discussions, role plays, that enabled them to be pastoral guides at school. Spriha head of school projects, Anasuya dasgupta senior supervisor at Ummeed and Salony ma'am shared their expertise with these educators with support from Mr Myers, Principal. Congratulations to all educators from Ummeed.

Auxillium Convent, Barasat, inducted tiny tots, on 27th April 2019 with a POSITIVE PARENTING oreintation for their parents, conducted by Principal Sister Clara along with Ms. Salony Priya, Counselling psychologist & parenting expert. This very interactive session on “Positive parenting” for the parents of pre-primary children addressed daily issues of parental affection, protection and training, making parents aware of the subtle nuances of parenting approaches. Psycho -education to parents primarily aimed at enabling parents to deal with their children, with long term parenting goals, and apply Balance of love & logic. The realistic examples and videos shown made parents enjoy as well as learn.

Ummeed conducted a Parenting session on “Effective Parenting Styles” for the parents of Lower Nursery, Upper Nursery, KG, Class I and Class II children at Julien Day School, Howrah on 25th April, 2019 by Ms. Pinki Banerjee, Counsellor & Life Skill Trainer, Ummeed.

On 24th April, 2019, Ummeed conducted a session about “Emotional Needs in Adolescents” with parents of Classes VII & VIII attended a lively open interaction with purpose and clear practical guidelines for bringing up Teens at Julien Day School, Howrah by Ms. Pinki Banerjee, Counsellor and Life Skill Trainer at Ummeed.

A rejuvenated staff and management of Vidya Jyothi School are all set to take this 52 years old educational institution to new heights. A very thoughtful brainstorming session with Principal Sunilji and staff gets the ball rolling for empowered educators to cater to EQ as well as IQ of students. Building skills with acquisition of knowledge and handling behaviour issues in classrooms was the major focus. Thanks to Tata steel CSR initiative training which was held at Tata engineering development and innovation centre at Adityapur.

On 6th April, 2019, a delightful interactive thought churning session for developing professional skills was held at Kerala Samajam School Jamshedpur. The major area of discussion in the session was ‘Mentoring professional skills for enhanced effectiveness at workplace’ by Ms. Salony Priya.
A very progressive initiative from School management led by principal to enable educators to develop better professional skills and reduce stress at work.
