St. Karen's Patna group of schools on BCS(basic counselling skills) certification course session by Salony Priya, director Umeed on 22nd and 23rd July!

The teachers were empowered on learning counselling skills, the salient points of the 2 day session was: 1.Understanding the need of counselling 2. emphasis of lifeskill in education 3.Skill pyramid 4.Understanding CBT 5.C to G of counselling 6.Active listening skills 7.SOLER position of counselling 8.#Rapport building and minimal encouragers and much more!

Participants also bust myths of counselling's and practiced #roleplay on real life case situations! It was an empowering session!

An interactive life skill session with the students of Classes III and IV of Julien Day School, Howrah on 13th July and 14th July  2022, conducted by Ms. Pinki Banerjee, Counsellor & Life skill Trainer at Ummeed Counselling and Consulting Services.

Major focus of the session was on:
• Importance of respect and discipline among students in school and home environment.
• To help students understand the importance of discipline in regular life.
• To make students understand that they respect their surroundings and individuals irrespective of age.

On 7th July, 2022, Students of Sunbeam Lahartara Varanasi were empowered by Ms.Salony Priya on learning life skills and self management. They were taught to ACCEPT, ADAPT and ACT the #Ummeed way! Responsible and safe internet usage was taught, reflecting was discussed! Post Covid adaptation was talked about! It was a very enabling and lively session! 

Ms. Salony Priya empowered and enabled students of Sunbeam Suncity Varanasi on 7th July,2022, on learning life skills and self-management. Impact of excessive internet/gadget usage on cognitive development was explained.. They learnt to respond the #Ummeed way! The session was reflective for students in understanding boundaries and making correct choices..it was extremely lively and empowering!

Ummeed, led by Founder & Director Ms. Salony Priya, held a session for the students of Oxford High School, Howrah studying in class 7 and 8 on 24th August.

The students were taught about how each one of us are Unique Individuals and how our personalities can develop over time through our Thoughts, Feelings and Actions. Our minds produce ideas which fuel our dreams that motivate us to make a plan to achieve our goals. Ms. Salony empowered the students with the understanding that the ability to make difficult choices enables us to go a long way. Suggestions and resources were also shared with the students to help them with effective strategies for goal-setting and enhancing memory power.

Ummeed empowers educators of Bhavan's Gangubux Vidyamandir, on the 25th of June, 2022 and all the members on rebuilding school post pandemic. Adolescent and children's issues were talked about like: aggression, gadget dependence, stress was discussed. All sessions were extremely lively and meaningful!

My journey with you all (and within) …it has been surreal. I am blessed to have been a part of our St Karen’s BCS ‘special first batch’. Memories Defined, they will always be dear to my heart.We shared, we laughed, we cried… Salony Ma’am, Trina Ma’am, Payal Ma’am & my dear 1st BCS Karenites, my heart is so very full, I just couldn’t help but share with you:
